Product activation is a secure and industry-accepted technical measure to help protect PJ Technologies against unauthorized copying of its software in ways that infringes on the software's end user license agreement (EULA). It also protects consumers from counterfeit copies of our software.
After you first launch your product, you will be asked to activate by entering an activation code. The activation process is quick and easy. For most of you, this will only have to be done once. During the activation, no personal information is captured or transmitted. It is completely secure and anonymous. Product activation will not affect the performance of your software or computer.
You have 30 days to evaluate the product. After this 30-day period, you will have to activate the product in order to continue using it. However, if you still need more time to evaluate the product, you can request an evaluation extension by contacting our Sales Department.
Once you have purchased a product, PJ Technologies will email you an Activation Code. This activation code will be configured to grant you a certain number of activations based on the number of licenses you have purchased to-date. You can then enter this activation code to activate the product on your computer.
Note: Every time you activate your product on a computer, you are decreasing the allocated activation count. Once the allocated activation count is zero, you will no longer be able to activate your product on new machine. You will get an error message stating that the 'License Code is Already Used'. For this reason, keep your Activation Code in a secure place to prevent unauthorized use. Do not activate your product on computers scheduled to be upgraded to a new operating system or scheduled to be rebuilt. If a machine is rebuilt without doing an Activation Transfer, please contact our Sales Department to adjust your activation count.
Internet Activation: Activation over the Internet is quick and anonymous. It is available 24x7 and is the most preferred method. However, it requires that you have an active internet connection.
Email Activation: If you cannot activate your product over the internet, you can perform an off-line activation by email.
Phone Activation: If both internet and email activation cannot be performed, call our Sales department to process a phone activation (see Activation Phone Numbers).
It depends. Each Activation Code is allocated with a specific number of allowable activations. The number of activations that are authorized by your Activation Code is based on the number of licenses purchased and the End User License Agreement. Our products' EULA authorizes the installation and activation on a primary computer (e.g. office computer) and a secondary computer (e.g. portable or home computer), provided that the second copy of the software is for the exclusive use of the primary user, and that the second copy is not used at the same time as the software on the primary computer.
Once you have exhausted your allocated activation count, you will not be able to activate your product on a new machine without contacting our Sales Department.
You need to transfer the activation before you rebuild your machine or activate your product on a new machine. Transferring an activation requires internet connectivity.
