What is our licensing model?
Most remote control / administration software products on the market are licensed on a per client machine basis (client-node). For instance, if a client's site contains 1000 client machines, 1000 licenses are to be purchased. If the client adds 10 machines to the infrastructure, 10 new licenses have to be provisioned. This model is price-efficient to the vendor but quite inflexible for the client.
PJ Technologies licenses its software products on a per-console basis with NO additional client-node fee. In other words, if a client's site contains 1000 machines and 10 IT engineers are supporting these clients, then only 10 licenses have to be purchased. The number of client machines may freely fluctuate as long as the number of IT personnel doesn't change. This model provides the client with a more relaxed experience, and since the number of support staff required to support a site is proportional to the number of computers, it still results in an appropriate dollars amount to the vendor.
We offer perpetual licenses which are valid for the version of the product purchased. Once a new version is released (major version, for instance v6 to v7), then a new upgrade license must be purchased.
How to receive recurring payment from clients?
In addition to the sale of product licenses, we offer optional yearly and bi-yearly Maintenance contracts. Maintenance provides extended support options as well as free upgrades to upcoming releases of our products.
We highly encourage the sale of the Maintenance coverage to your clients. They will provide you with recurring revenues.
