What is the Goverlan Maintenance
Subscription (GMS)?
A 12
month subscription (non-refundable) that entitles
your company to receive all minor and major upgrades
to the Goverlan product under license. It also
guarantees swift technical support response time via
priority email and telephone support.

Do I need to Purchase a GMS to
use Goverlan?
No. The purchase of a GMS is a
value-added option. However, if you do not own a
GMS, you will only be able to download software
maintenance updates (bug fixes) and technical
support will only be provided via email (no phone
support). When a new version is released, you will
need to pay the full upgrade cost applicable for
each product.
For new Goverlan licenses, an initial 90-day
maintenance subscription is offered free-of-charge
to ensure that you have a smooth introduction and
trouble-free implementation. During these initial 90
days, you will have full access to our qualified
technical staff and resources.
How much is the
GMS?
The
initial cost of a GMS is based on the current retail
price of the Goverlan product licensed. GMS renewals
will also be based on the current retail price of
the Goverlan product under license. You can purchase
a 1 or 2 year GMS. The advantage of buying a 2 year
subscription is that the maintenance cost is
locked-in even if Goverlan prices increase.

What if I purchase additional
licenses during my current GMS period?
If you
purchase additional user licenses which you would
like included under your current GMS, you will be
charged a prorated maintenance amount for the
additional licenses based on the number of months
left before renewal*.
When Should I
Purchase the GMS?
You must
purchase a GMS within the first 3 months from your
original purchase date. The 12 month subscription
starts after the initial 3 month period from the
original license purchase date.
It
doesn't matter if you purchase the GMS on Day 1 or
Day 89. However, for convenience, it is best to
purchase the GMS at the same time as you purchase
the new license(s).
How Long Do I Have To Renew
GMS Once It Expires?
GMS’s
are not automatically renewed. We will send you an
email notification prior to your GMS expiration
date.
Once
your GMS expires, you have 30 days to renew your
GMS. During this 30 day period, you are not covered
by your GMS. After 30 days, your GMS will be
cancelled. You will have to pay the full upgrade
cost when the next version is released and then you
will have 90 days to purchase a new GMS.
