System Requirements
Goverlan
Management Console
The Goverlan
Management Console is the administrator's interface. It does not need to
be installed on a Domain Controller or on a server to
function properly. Goverlan should be installed on a standard networked
workstation.
The Goverlan Management
Console supports the following platforms:
Goverlan
Client Agents
The Goverlan
Agents run on each client computer. However, you do not need to
pre-install these agents on your client machines. The Goverlan Management
Console will install/update the agents on an as needed basis.
The
Goverlan Agents support the following platforms:
Why isn't Goverlan supporting Windows
95/98/Me?
Goverlan has a
lot of advanced features. Unfortunately, these features are programmed
using an API which is not available in Windows 95/98/Me.
If Goverlan did support Windows 95/98/Me,
many of the unique features of Goverlan would not be available under
these
platforms.

Hardware
Requirements
There are no
hardware requirements for the Management Console, only considerations.
Goverlan can consume very little or a lot of resources from your system,
depending on what you are doing and how large your network is. For
instance, executing a scope action on 10,000 objects will require more
memory, CPU power and network bandwidth than just viewing the account
information of a single user.
It is
recommended that you run the Goverlan Management console on a machine with
at least 256MB of memory connected to a 100Mbps Ethernet network.
