Management
 Goverlan offers enterprise
level user and desktop management via a feature called Scope Actions. Scope
Actions are a powerful feature in Goverlan. It is your means to perform
enterprise wide desktop and user management tasks including asset reporting,
object detection, software deployment and much more.
Yet Scope Actions are very
easy to use. You create a Scope Action object by defining a set of target
objects (either users, groups or computers) and a set of actions (a mixture
of report, set and execute actions). You can then execute the Scope Action
object at any time or schedule the scope action to run at periodic times.

Scope Actions use a push
technology. This means that when a Scope Action runs, it performs the
configured tasks on the selected scope in real-time.
Scope Actions offer an
extensive set of report, set and execute actions. It includes all actions
which can be performed using the Administration & Diagnostic feature plus
much more. Additionally, WMI technology has been fully integrated into Scope
Actions so that every WMI attribute and method can be configured in a Scope
Action.
Goverlan Scope Actions are a
powerful tool to perform asset management or to detect network objects with
a particular configuration. It can also be used for scope administration.
Examples of what can be done using Goverlan Scope
Actions:

Reporting the installed applications on a set of machines.

Deploying the installation of an MSI package on a set of machines.

Reporting all user accounts with administrative privileges and a password
age greater than 60 days.

Shutting down all machines every Friday at 11:45 PM, unless a user is
currently logged-in.

Adding a new network printer to all users of a particular department.

Detecting all machines which are currently running a particular process.

Querying information, modifying settings
or executing tasks using WMI objects.
