Total Cost of Ownership / Return On Investment
Due to the
expansion of geographically large networks, supporting and administering
remote users and machines is a daunting task. It requires an increase in
user support and system administration staff. This results in a higher
Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Goverlan's
design began in 1997, in the midst of a very busy and large user support
group. Goverlan was the direct byproduct resulting from the immense task
of remotely supporting and administering a growing number of users and
machines while maintaining a reasonable headcount.
Goverlan
offers its customers a unique approach specifically designed to lower the
TCO of Microsoft® Windows® based networks by increasing the productivity
of your user support teams as well as automating trouble shooting and
administrative tasks.

Effective Licensing
Goverlan is
licensed on a per console basis, not on a per node basis.
You need to purchase one license for each administrator or support
person utilizing Goverlan. A single administrator can support an
unlimited number of users or machines. Our licensing schema makes
Goverlan one of the most cost effective Remote Control solutions on
the market.
No
costly installation / maintenance
No
software agents need to be pre-installed on your machines. Goverlan can be
used from Day 1!
Since the
Goverlan Agents
can be installed and updated automatically by Goverlan, you do not
need to spend time and money in agent deployment prior to using Goverlan.
All configuration settings can be distributed using Active Directory Group
Policies in an effortless integration into your environment.
No database
back-end is required
Goverlan queries data
directly from the network, not from a central database that can
contain non-current data and is costly to maintain. User/Machine
problems are quickly diagnosed and repaired real-time.
Reduce
end user downtime and increase support staff productivity
When trouble shooting, you
need to get to the source of the problem as fast as possible. Most
administration tools are machine centric which means that you need to
know the name of the machine before beginning any trouble shooting or
administration. This is not the best approach when a user requires
immediate support. Goverlan has been designed with a user centric interface,
as well as machine and group centric interfaces.
If you need to trouble shoot a
user,
you can use the user centric interface to query all
information about the remote user, including the remote user's logged-in
machine name.
You do not need to ask the user to provide you with any
technical information about their configuration since Goverlan queries this
information for you. This results in a less frustrating experience and an
improved relationship between you and your clients.
Using Goverlan, you will get
to the source of the problem in half the time as you would with other
tools.
Goverlan has an easy,
intuitive and swift interface. Even newly hired or non-NT
knowledgeable personnel can immediately start using it.
No expensive training is required.
Goverlan provides many
powerful, automated NT & Active Directory support functions
not found in other tools. Common support tasks are executed swiftly and
effortlessly.
