Custom Actions are a powerful option to the Real-Time Administration & Diagnostic feature. It allows you to configure a set of reports, modify and execute actions in one package and execute it on a per need basis for a user or a machine. A Custom Action can be configured with any of the available attributes of a scope action, including the wide range of WMI attributes.

To better explain this, let's use an example. Let's say that you have a registry modification file which removes the necessary entries of a Trojan virus and that you need to import this file in the registry of infected machines where ever it applies. You can configure a Custom Action to do it for you.

1. Select the Custom Actions object of any machine, right click on the mouse and select Add a Custom Action

2. Configure the Custom Action to apply the appropriate registry modification file.

3. Once added, the newly created Custom Action object is available for all machines. When needed, simply double click on it to execute it onto the selected target.

Just as easily, you can execute the custom action on a set of machines.
